As a Licensed Marriage Family Therapist for eleven years, Erika Perry-Dutton is a Co-Owner and Clinical Director of SCCC. Erika has been providing therapy for over 20 years. She started as an ABA therapist as an intern for the Lovaas Institute while she was a student at UCLA and then at CARD (Center for Autism & Related Disorders) where she was an ABA therapist for over four years. Since then, Erika has worked at several community mental health clinics in different settings that range in their levels of intensity. She has worked in school-based programs that provide early intervention and help students gain access to services in their communities. She has worked at out-patient clinics and gained experience working with young clients and their families. As an out-patient therapist, she developed a specialization in providing therapy to those diagnosed with ASD and other developmental disabilities. She has also worked in intensive in-home programs and a residential program serving those involved with the foster care and probation systems. Erika has had seven years of experience working as a clinical supervisor helping to guide other clinicians develop clinical skills and find their professional path. Erika has had a private practice since 2010 where she specializes in work with those with ASD and chronic mental health issues. Erika also specializes in helping those with trauma,. she is trained both Trama-Focused CBT and EMDR. She also has works with children and teens, helping those with chronic health issues/mental health issues (e.g., anxiety, depression, other mood disorders, and ADHD). Erika is also committed to helping families with parenting and working with challenging behaviors. Erika is an LGBT affirmative therapist and a strong advocate for LGBTQ rights.
In 2012, Erika began to work with Zaroff & Zaroff and provided social skills groups with them until they retired in from providing social skills in 2018. Erika then partnered with Danie DeVine who, she met while working at Z&Z, to form Social Connections Counseling Center. Erika is passionate about helping those with social challenges gain the skills necessary to navigate the social world. Erika believes, after working with this population for over 20 years, that improving social skills and interaction is a strong predictor of future independence and happiness. Erika is committed to working with each client to help them improve their social interactions and build self-esteem.
Danie DeVine, LMFT, is a licensed psychotherapist and is a Co-Owner/Clinical Director of Social Connections Counseling Center. Danie DeVine, LMFT, is a licensed psychotherapist and is a Co-Owner/Clinical Director of Social Connections Counseling Center. Danie specializes in assisting his clients maintain healthy relationships. Danie also helps clients to live purposeful, joy-filled lives by helping them change maladaptive thoughts, feelings and behaviors. Danie empowers clients to overcome their feelings of inadequacy while honoring their past experiences. Danie has worked with children and families for over 20 years and has offered social skills group services for over 13 years for consumers with Autistic Spectrum Disorder and developmental delays. He has worked in community mental health and is passionate about helping youth in the foster care system. He provided social skills and healthy relationships classes to regional consumers while working at Zaroff and Zaroff. Danie has also provided individual counseling for a variety of issues including anxiety, depression and behavioral issues. He also had experience working with families and couples to improve their relationships for over 10 years. Danie has been licensed in the state of California for over 4 years. Today, Danie offers individual services, family counseling and social skills group services.
